200 Level Yoga Teacher Training with
B-1 Yoga and Challenge to Change!
B-1 Yoga is recognized as a Registered Yoga School (RYS) by the Yoga Alliance.
Whether you are looking to teach yoga, deepen your understanding of yoga, or maybe transform yourself personally, teacher training is the perfect stepping stool in this journey. Our 200-hour program specializes in the physical science and anatomy behind modern yoga and how to deliver safe and effective yoga to all. We also provide you with a full understanding of the ancient practice and philosophy behind yoga.
In the process, this program will allow you to discover your inner power and challenge yourself in ways you have never been challenged. Some will find themselves full time or part time yoga instructors while others might apply yoga practices to different aspects of their family life and work place. The experience is a foundation of knowledge and information as well as a potential journey to personal growth and spiritual change.

Cally Burkle, E-RYT
Owner of B1 Yoga
Cally started practicing yoga in 2006 to supplement her running routine. She found herself intrigued by the shift in her performance and strength. That same year while traveling to visiting a college friend in Phoenix Arizona (of all places!) she took her first Bikram (Hot Yoga) class and loved it. She came home and starting practicing the same 90 minute 105 degree structured class whenever she could find the time. In 2008 she went to a Core Power Yoga class and found the vinyasa hot yoga experience to be her new love and almost daily routine.
In the Spring of 2013, after coming back from a rejuvenating retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand, she decided leave her fast paced life in Chicago and return to Iowa to teach yoga. She enrolled and completed a 200 hour power yoga teacher training class at Core Power Yoga. Shortly after she purchased the building at 185 Main Street in Dubuque and opened B-1 Yoga in April of 2014.
Cally is from Dyersville and as a young child did her first headstands, handstands, and backbends at the Debbie Moser School of Dance. She practiced, competed, and performed gymnastics up until high school. She graduated from Beckman High School in 1991 and has a degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Iowa.
Prior to B-1 Yoga she was a residential real estate agent in Chicago for 10 years. Cally sometimes misses her city life but enjoys being back home in Iowa teaching yoga and being near her 8 nieces and nephews, 3 siblings, 2 parents and 50 first cousins.
Lead B1 Yoga instructor
Mae has been practicing yoga since 2005 and completed her 200 RYT at B-1 Yoga in Dubuque, Iowa. She practices many forms of yoga including hatha, bikram, and vinyasa flow. Mae's journey into yoga began with a quest for strength, flexibility, and toning, but it has been through her practice that she has discovered yoga also brings peace, acceptance and relaxation. She hopes to share these lessons with her studnets by helping them understand that yoga is accessible to everyone. When not doing yoga, Mae is a wife, mother, social worker and avid Cyclone fan.
Owner of Challenge to Change
Molly is a mother of four beautiful children: Sydney, Maggie, Jacob and Maria and a wife to Tom. Through Molly’s life experiences, she came to love the practice of yoga. Weaving her passion for creating peace and kindness in the world, Molly developed Challenge to Change, Inc., a place of health, wellness, yoga and peace for people of all ages.
Molly has implemented a successful Yoga in the Schools Program, educating teachers on how to implement yoga and mindfulness into their classrooms, and she teaches adult fitness classes and Advanced Kid’s Yoga classes at the Dubuque Studio.
Molly’s mantra about yoga and mindfulness:
“Our smart minds are connected to our kind hearts and our calm bodies.”
"YTT at B-1 was an incredible experience. With each passing week, our group grew closer and closer into a tight-knit community. We watched each other learn, grow, and deepen into ourselves, and into our yoga practices.
One of the strengths of the B-1 YTT program is that you have the opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers in town. Cally makes sure to bring in a variety of instructors throughout the training, so you have the opportunity to learn about yoga/aspects of yoga from many different people. Each person brings their own insights, strengths, and unique point of view. This gives you the chance to find someone you connect with in the yoga world, who you can perhaps form a relationship with and learn even more from, beyond the 200 hours of the training program.
I wasn't sure what to expect at the beginning of the experience, but I came out of the YTT program utterly transformed. It was worth all of the time, money, and energy spent. I am so grateful that I was able to complete my 200 hours at B-1!"
